Turntable is spinning, but there is no sound, or sound not loud enough

Stylus protector is still on.

The Phono/Line switch is set at PHONO position but RCA jacks connected to the stereo system’s line in put.

Forget to connect the speaker to the turntable.

Remark: 

To protect the stylus, the platter will Stop automatically if no music has been playing for 1 min. For lowering the 
power consumption, the whole unit will switch to standby mode automatically if no music has been playing for 
about 20 minutes.

To restart the unit, hold press the “MODE” Button.

If your unit switches off regularly, this is no defect.
