7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF THE UNIT

NOTE: 

In  order  to  improve  the  performance  of  the  humidifying 

device, you must use warm water, but not above 30°C. 

Salt  deposits  on  the  discs  also  helps  improve  the 

humidifying  capacity,  because  salt  create  additional 

micro-structure  of  the  disc  surface,  contributing  to 

greater wettability.

The  higher  the  temperature  of  the  air,  the  faster 

humidification.

Cleaning of tub and cleaning drum

The regular cleaning of the tub and the cleaning drum (every 2 weeks)
ensures the faultless, hygienic operation of CH-PH2240W.
1. Switch the device off and disconnect the power plug.
2. Lift the housing cover (1.1) from the device. Pull the water tank up to
remove it from the housing (1.2).
3. Pull the tub out of the housing and remove the cleaning drum (3.1). 
4. Clean the tub and the cleaning drum with warm water and a soft cloth.
5. Insert the cleaning drum back into the tub and then push the tub into 
the housing.

Cleaning the housing

Clean the housing of CH-PH2240W with a slightly damp cloth.

NOTE: 

Use a solution of 50:50 vinegar and water or a 3:1

solution of vinegar essence and water. Do not use

abrasive or corrosive cleaners.

Replacing the filter

The combination filter should be replaced after 1000 operating hours. 
“CL” will automatically flash on the display after 1000 operating hours. 
Use only original C&H filters!

Proceed as follows to change the filter:

1. Switch the device off and disconnect the power plug.
2. Remove the filter cover on the side of the device (2.1) and remove the 
filter (2.2).
3. Remove the packaging from the new filter and place the new filter into 
the filter cover (2.2). Ensure that the white side of the filter faces in 
(towards the device).
4. Place the filter cover back into the device. Ensure that the filter unit is 
correctly inserted.
5. Reconnect the power cord to a power outlet and switch the device on.
6. Push and hold key (

) for 5 seconds. A signal sounds and the „CL” 

symbol disappears. The operating time meter is
now reset.

Cleaning the filter

Regular cleaning of the combination filter (1x month) ensures faultless
operation of the CH-PH2240W.
1. Switch the device off prior to cleaning and
disconnect the power plug.
2. Remove the filter cover on the side of the device (2.1).
3. Remove the filter from the cover (2.2) Use the brush attachment of a
vacuum cleaner to thoroughly clean the filter. The filter cannot be washed!
4. Insert the filter back into the filter cover (2.2). Ensure that the black side
of the filter faces out. Insert the filter cover back into the device. Ensure
that the filter unit is inserted correctly.

Switching on and off. 

A red symbol appears on the display if there is no water in the tank

and the device shuts off automatically. Fill the water tank as

described in Chapter ”
