Child lock
To prevent accidental use of the appliance, and to deter the use of the appliance
by un-supervised children your oven has a "Child safety lock" feature witch when
in operation prevents the appliance from being used.
To activate the lock press "10 sec" and “1 min” buttons together and keep both
pressed for 3 seconds. When child lock is activated, you will hear a beep and see
the key light up on the display. To de-activate the lock again press "10 sec" and “1
min” buttons together and keep both pressed for 3 seconds.
Start/Reset
As you read, the “START/RESET” button will start the cooking process for 1
minute at 100% microwave power if pressed once. You may also use this button
to cancel any operations on the microwave oven. If you have any trouble with
programming the oven, open the oven door and press “START/RESET” button –
this way you will cancel all programming. The display will show “0:00”
TROUBLESHOOTING
All of the following are quite normal and does not mean that there is something
wrong with the appliance.
1. The oven causes interference with my television set.
Some radio and TV interference might occur when you cook with the
microwave oven. This interference is similar to the interference caused by
small appliances such as food mixers, vacuums, hair dryers etc, always keep
the unit away from aerials to minimize interference
2. The oven lights dim.
When cooking with a power other than "HIGH" the oven must cycle to obtain
the lower power levels. The oven light will dim and some "clicking" noises may
be heard when this happens.
3. Steam accumulates on the oven door and warm air comes from the oven
vents.
During cooking steam and warm air are given off from the food. Most of the
steam and warm air is removed from the oven by the air which circulates
around the oven cavity. However, some steam will condense on cooler
surfaces such as the oven door. Again this is quite normal.
4. Care of your microwave oven
5. Always turn the oven off and isolate it from the power by removing the plug
from the electrical socket before cleaning.
