Using menu options

The menu options are used to change and save the appliance’s factory 

settings, start programs and look up information.

They are:

•  Language (see “Setting the language” on page 19)

•  Auto shut off time (see “Setting the switch-off time” on page 21)

• Set 

clock

•  Start time (auto)

• Auto 

start

•  Temperature (see “Setting the coffee temperature” on page 21)

•  Water hardness (see “Water hardness” on page 20)

•  Coffee program (see “Changing the quantity of coffee” on page 17)

•  Cappuccino program (see “Setting the cappuccino program” on 

page 15)

•  Hot water (see “Preparing hot water” on page 14)

•  Descale (see “Carrying out the descaling program” on page 21)

•  Reset to default (see “Resetting the appliance to factory settings” on 

page 24) 

•  Statistics (see “Statistics” on page 23)

• Buzzer

• Contrast

If you don’t press OK after you change a setting, the appliance 

automatically returns to the coffee mode after 120 seconds without 

saving the entries. 

To go back to the coffee mode, press the ‘Return’ touch key (3). 

Setting the language

You can choose between several languages. 

A different language can be selected as follows:

Press the touch key ‘MENU’ and press the scroll touch keys (5 and 

7) until the menu option “CHOOSE LANGUAGE” appears. Confi rm 

the menu option with the touch keys ‘OK’ (9).

The language set appears on the display. Press the scroll touch 

keys (5 and 7) until the desired language appears. When the desired 

language is displayed, confi rm with the touch keys ‘OK’ (9).
