Using the appliance

HOLIDAY FUNCTION
The
HOLIDAY
function may be used during periods of
prolonged inactivity (for example, if all users go on holi-
day). This function
HOLIDAY
saves electricity as it takes
into account the fact that the door of the appliance will
not be opened at all during this period and maintains a
temperature inside the refrigerator which is suitable for
the storage of food.
To activate this function, simply touch the symbol “
5
HOLIDAY
” for at least 0.5 seconds; the symbol will be lit
up in white.
The function may only be deactivated manually, by touching
the symbol “
5 HOLIDAY
” for 0.5 seconds.
While the appliance is operating in
HOLIDAY
mode, all
other settings are temporarily disabled.
SUPER FUNCTION
The
SUPER
function was designed to reduce the tem-
perature inside the freezer compartment in the shortest
possible time; if you touch the symbol “
10 SUPER
” for
at least 0.5 seconds the function will be activated for a
period of “7 hours for the refrigerator” and “30 hours for
the freezer”, during which time the symbol “
10 SUPER
” will
be lit up in white. After the hours set, the
SUPER
function
will be deactivated automatically. However, if you wish to
manually deactivate the function before the period has
elapsed, simply touch the text “
10 SUPER
” for at least 0.5
seconds; when the function has been deactivated the text
“
10 SUPER
” will no longer be illuminated.
While the appliance is operating in
SUPER
mode, all other
freezer compartment settings are temporarily disabled.
The NO-FROST system guarantees a constant
temperature and a more rapid freezing capacity.
The humidity-free, forced air circulation tends to
dry food up quickly and for this reason we advise
keeping all food in closed containers.
NOTE
To optimize the volume of the freezer compartment, without
altering the operation of the appliance, you can remove the
2 top drawers, and store only the bottom drawer.
IMPORTANT
- Any food showing signs of thawing must not, under
any circumstances, be refrozen, but consumed
within 24 hours.
- Do not store frozen food for longer periods that
recommended.
PACKING FRESH PRODUCTS FOR
FREEZING
This freezer has two separate compartments.
- The upper “A” drawers are used for freezing fresh food.
- The two lower “B” drawers are reserved exclusively
for storing frozen products.
For optimum freezing, activate the quick-freeze function
(
SUPER
) at least
3
hours beforehand. Only freeze prime
quality hermetically sealed products to avoid loss of taste
or drying out. Apply a label to each pack, indicating the
content and date of freezing. The quantity of fresh food that
can be frozen in
24
hours is indicated on the appliance’s
rating plate (.....kg/24h).
