Also make sure that there
is an electric socket
available in the area in
which the hood is to be
installed (which can be
accessed even after the
hood has been installed)
and that it is possible to
connect to a device that
discharges the fumes to
the outside (ducting
version only).
•
Carry out all the masonry
work required (e.g.
installation of an electrical
socket and/or a hole for
the passage of duct).
•
Connect the extractor to the
flue using a pipe having a
minimum diameter of 120mm.
•
The route of the flue must be
as short as possible.
•
Do not connect the extractor to
flues used for the removal of
combustion fumes (fireplaces,
boilers etc.).
•
If the extractor is used in
conjunction with non-electrical
appliances (e.g. gas
appliances), the room must be
sufficiently ventilated in order
to prevent the backflow of
exhaust gases
The hood is supplied with
expansion plugs for fastening the
hood to most types of
walls/ceilings. However, a
qualified technician should verify
the suitability of the materials for
the type of wall/ceiling. The
wall/ceiling must be strong
enough to support the weight of
the hood.
