 Open the Calc-Clean rinsing flap that covers the Calc-Clean rinsing 

cap. Turn the Calc-Clean rinsing cap anticlockwise and remove it.

 Empty the steam generator into the sink.

  5 

 Fill the steam generator with fresh water, shake well and empty it 

into the sink again. 

  6 

 Repeat step 5 a few times to obtain the best result.

  7 

 Screw the Calc-Clean rinsing cap tightly back onto the steam 

generator and put back the Calc-Clean rinsing flap.

  8 

 Put the water tank back into the steam generator.

 Switch off the appliance and unplug it. 

Be careful with the iron resting mat, it may be hot after use.

 Emtpy the water tank.

  3 

 Insert the tip of the iron into the carry lock (1) and then put down 

the heel of the iron (2). 

  4 

 Slide the carry lock slide to the right to lock the iron onto the steam 

generator. 

  5 

 GC8461/GC8460: Press the cord rewind button to rewind the mains 

cord. 

  6 

 GC8420/GC8410: Insert the cord neatly into the cord storage 

compartment.
