Check whether the definition
on its label reads “for machine
wash” or “hand and machine
wash”, or any other similar
wording.

Is the correct amount being
used? An excessive amount
o f   d e t e r g e n t ,   b e s i d e s
producing too much foam,
does not guarantee a more
effective wash, and causes
scaling in the internal parts of
the appliance.

I f ,   d e s p i t e   a l l   c h e c k s ,   t h e
w a s h i n g   m a c h i n e   f a i l s   t o
f u n c t i o n   a n d   t h e   p r o b l e m
p e r s i s t s ,   c a l l   y o u r   n e a r e s t
authorised Customer Service
Centre, providing the following
information:
- the nature of malfunction
- the model type no. (Mod. ....)
-   the serial number (S/N ....)
This information can be found on
the data plate situated at the
back of the washing machine.

Is there space between the
m a c h i n e   a n d   a d j a c e n t
units? If it is not a built-in
model, the washing machine
will oscillate a bit during the
spin cycle. A few cm of space
s h o u l d   t h e r e f o r e   b e   l e f t
around it.

The washing machine
leaks.

Is the metal ring of the inlet
hose properly attached?
Tur n off  the water supply,
unplug the appliance and try
t i g h t e n i n g   i t s   a t t a c h m e n t
without forcing it.

Is the detergent dispenser
obstructed?  Remove and
wash it under tap water.

I s   t h e   d r a i n   h o s e   w e l l
attached? Turn off the water
supply, unplug the appliance
a n d   t r y   t i g h t e n i n g   i t s
attachment.

Is the drain hose kinked?
The tract of the drain hose
m u s t   b e   a s   s t r a i g h t   a s
possible. Make sure the drain
h o s e   i s   n o t   s q u a s h e d   o r
kinked.

Is the washing machine’s
drain duct clogged? Is there
an extension of the drain
hose? If so, is it positioned
i n c o r r e c t l y,   b l o c k i n g   t h e
water flow?

Excessive vibration
during the spin cycle.

Have all transit screws been
r e m o v e d   d u r i n d   i n s t a l -
lation? See the following
p a g e   o n   i n s t a l l a t i o n
procedures.

Has the washing machine
been levelled correctly? The
l e v e l l i n g   o f   t h e   a p p l i a n c e
s h o u l d   b e   c h e c k e d
periodically. Adjust the feet
and check them with a level.

The washing machine
does not drain or spin.

D o e s   t h e   s e l e c t e d
programme incorporates
w a t e r   d r a i n i n g ?   S o m e
programmes stop at the end
o f   t h e   w a s h   c y c l e s   a n d
d r a i n i n g   w i l l   h a v e   t o   b e
selected manually.

function -where provided -
e n a b l e d ?   T h i s   f u n c t i o n
requires manual selection for
draining.

Is the drain pump clogged?
To check it, turn off the water
supply, unplug the washing
m a c h i n e   a n d   f o l l o w   t h e
instructions on page 35, or
call for technical assistance.
