FAGOTT-STICH

Dieser  beliebte  dekorative  Stich  wird  gern  bei  Ärmeln  oder 

Vorderseiten  von  Blusen,  usw.  benutzt.  Um  zwei  Teile 

zusammenzufügen, lassen Sie zwischen ihnen etwas Abstand.

Vorbereitung:

Falten  Sie  die  Nahtzugaben  an  den  gerade  geschnittenen 

Stoffkanten um, und bügeln Sie sie an. Heften Sie die Teile 

mit  ca.  0.3mm  Abstand  auf  Einlagepapier.  Nähen  Sie  so 

über  die  Lücke,  daß  die  Nadel  auf  beiden  Seiten  gerade 

den Stoff erfaßt.

Heftstiche und Papier entfernen, dann bügeln.

SUPER-NUTZSTICHE (STRETCH-STICHE)

D i e  S u p e r - N u t z s t i c h e  s i n d  b e s o n d e r s  v o r t e i l h a f t  f ü r 

elastische  Materialien  und  Strickstoffe.  Sie  können  sie 

aber  auch  gut  auf  normalen,  nicht-elastischen  Stoffen 

verwenden.

REGULIERUNG DER STICHLÄNGE

Der Stichlängen/Super-Nutzstichknopf sollte normalerweise 

auf 



 stehen.

S i e  d i e  Vo r w ä r t s b e w e g u n g  d e r  S u p e r - N u t z s t i c h e  d e r 

Rückwärtsbewegung  anpassen.  Sind  die  Stiche  zu  offen, 

drehen  Sie  den  Knopf  auf  'L'  zu,  überschneiden  sich  die 

Stichelemente, drehen Sie in Richtung 'S'.

STRETCH-GERADSTICH 

Der  Stretch-Geradstich  ist  viel  stärker  als  der  normale 

Geradstich,  weil  er  den  Stoff  mit  jeweils  drei  Stichen 

verbindet -  vorwärts, rückwärts und wieder vorwärts.

Er  eignet  sich  deshalb  vor  allem  für  elastische  Stoffe,  zur 

Verstärkung  von  Nähten  bei  Sportbekleidung  und  für  alle 

besonders strapazierten Nähte.
Sie  können  ihn  auch  zu  dekorativen  Zwecken  z.B.  auf 

Kragen  oder  Manschetten  benutzen,  um  Ihrer  Kleidung  ein 

professionelles Finish zu geben.

STRETCH-ZICKZACKSTICH

Arbeitsgang versäubern und eine dekorative Naht erhalten. 

Ideal zur Kantenbearbeitung am Halsausschnitt, an Ärmeln 

oder Säumen.

FAGGOTING

This is a popular decorative stitch (used in sleeves or fronts 

of  blouses  and  dresses). To  attach  two  separate  pieces  of 

fabric  together,  leave  a  little  space  inbetween.  To  prepare 

the fabric:

Fold  under  the  seam  allowances  on  the  cut  edges,  and 

press.  Baste  folded  edges  to  tissue  paper  with  about  1/8" 

(0.3  cm)  space  between.  Stitch  over  the  1/8"  (0.3  cm)  

allowance,  just  catching  the  fabric  fold  on  both  sides  with 

needle. Remove bastings and paper; press.

STRETCH STITCHES

Stretch  stitches  are  mainly  for  use  on  knit,  or  stretchable 

fabrics, but can also be used on ordinary materials.

ADJUSTING STRETCH STITCH BALANCE

Stitch  length/super  (stretch)  stitch  control  should  be  at 



mark for most materials. Depending upon the type of fabric 

used, you may need to adjust this Control to match forward 

stitches  of  stretch  sewing  with  reverse  motion  stitches.  If 

the  stitches  are  too  open,  turn  the  Control  to  S  position; 

if  the  stitches  overlap,  turn  the  Control  to  L  position.

TRIPLE STRAIGHT STITCH

Triple  straight  stitch  is  farstronger  than  ordinary  straight 

stitch  because  it  locks  three  times-forwards,  backwards 

and forwards.

It  is  particularly  suitable  for  reinforcing  the  seams  of 

sportswear  in  stretch  and  non-stretch  fabrics,  and  for 

curved seams which take a lot of strain.

Use  this  stitch  also  to  top-stitch  round  lapels,  collars  and 

cuffs to give a professional finish to your garments.

RIC-RAC STITCH

Ric-rac  is  a  quick  method  of  finishing  a  raw  edge  and 

providing a decorative top-stitch in one operation. It is ideal 

for edging neck-bands, armholes, sleeves and hems.
