Replacing Memory Modules
The TS-x73 has four memory slots. You can increase the memory capacity of the NAS by adding or
upgrading memory modules. When using multiple modules, use only QNAP modules of the same type and
capacity to maintain system performance and stability. You can purchase QNAP memory modules from
authorized resellers.
When installing modules, ensure the following:
• A module is installed in slot 1.
• Modules are installed in pairs. When installing two modules, use slots 1 and 3.

• Only qualified personnel should perform the following steps. Failure to follow
instructions can result in serious injury or death.
• Observe electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures to avoid damage to components.

Power off the NAS.

Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.

Disconnect all cables and external attachments.

Remove the case cover.
