The temperature of accessible surfaces may be higher during operation and after 

operation as a result of residual heat. Do not touch the hot surface. To close or open 

the top baking plate use the handle and to remove the sandwich, use a  wooden or 

another heat resistant spatula.

Never cover the appliance while it is in operation or hot, or place any items on to it.

■

Always disconnect the appliance from the power socket when leaving it without 

supervision, when not using it and before moving or cleaning it. Allow the appliance 

to cool down before moving or cleaning it.

■

Keep the appliance clean. Clean the baking plates after each use according to the 

instructions in chapter Cleaning and maintenance. Never wash the appliance under 

running water or submerge it in water or another liquid. 

■

Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with water or a heated surface.

■

Disconnect the appliance from the power socket by pulling on the plug, never pulling 

on the power cord. Otherwise, this could damage the power cord or the socket. 

■

If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorised service centre or 

by another similarly qualified person, this will prevent the creation of a  dangerous 

situation. It is forbidden to use the appliance if it has a damaged power cord.

■

To avoid the danger of injury by electrical shock, do not repair the appliance yourself 

or make any adjustments to it. Have all repairs of the appliance performed at an 

authorised service centre. By tampering with the appliance, you risk voiding your legal 

rights arising from unsatisfactory performance or quality warranty.
