Cleaning the ilter unit (FC6144/FC6140)

Make sure you clean the ilter unit regularly.

  1 

 Turn the outer ilter anticlockwise (1) and remove it from the ilter 

holder (2) (Fig. 17).

Leave the inner ilter attached to the ilter holder.

  2 

 Clean the inner ilter and the outer ilter with a brush or with a 

normal vacuum cleaner if they are very dirty.

Note: If necessary , you can clean the inner ilter and the outer ilter in cold 

or lukewarm water. Dry the inner and outer ilter thoroughly before you use 

the ilter unit again. 

  3 

 Place the outer ilter back onto the ilter holder (1) and turn it 

clockwise to attach it (2).  (Fig. 18)

  4 

 Put the ilter unit back into the dust compartment (Fig. 19).

Note: Make sure you insert the ilter unit in the correct way.

Emptying and cleaning the dust compartment and ilter 

unit (FC6142)

Make sure you empty and clean the dust compar tment and the ilter unit 

regularly.

  1 

 Hold the appliance over a dustbin, press the dust compartment 

release button (1) and remove the dust compartment (2) (Fig. 13).

  2 

 Remove the ilter unit from the dust compartment (Fig. 14).

  3 

 Empty the dust compartment by shaking it with your free 

hand (Fig. 15).

Note: If there is liquid in the dust compartment, empty the dust 

compartment and wipe it dry. 

  4 

 If necessary, clean the dust compartment with a damp cloth.

  5 

 Turn the inner ilter anticlockwise (1) and remove it from the outer 

ilter (2).  (Fig. 20)

Leave the inner ilter attached to the ilter holder.
