Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the bottom cover (see
).
5.
Remove the battery (see
).
Remove the display assembly:
1.
Position the computer upside down.
2.
Disconnect the antennas (1) from the WWAN module (if equipped).
3.
Disconnect the antennas (2) from the WLAN module (if equipped).
4.
Remove the antennas cables (if equipped) from the routing path along the base of the computer (3).
5.
Disconnect the display cable from the system board (4).
6.
Remove the 4 Phillips M2.5×5.0 screws (1) from the display hinges.
