Using for the first time
1.
Oil the cutting set.
2.
Connect to the mains.
3.
Switch the equipment on
using the on/off switch and, after use,
switch it off again.
Note:
The audible click that can
sometimes be heard when switching
the equipment on is a result of the
drive unit switching on; this is
completely normal. A slight warming of
the equipment and vibrations during
use are also completely normal.
Service life – 3 years.
Cutting-length adjustment
With the adjustment lever at the side,
the cutting length can be steplessly
adjusted, even during operation.
•
Lift the adjustment lever
upwards-minimum cutting length.
•
Lower the adjustment lever-
maximum cutting length.
Cutting with attachment combs
Depending on the desired haircut, the
equipment can be operated with or
without attachment comb. To this end,
the cutting-length adjustment lever
has to be raised. Depending on the
model, attachment combs#1(3mm),
#2(6mm), #3(9mm) or #4(12mm) are
included in the scope of supply.
Attaching/removing an
attachment comb
•
Place the attachment comb
onto the cutting edge of the cutting set
and press it down onto the cutting set
in the direction of the housing until it
clicks into position.
•
The attachment comb can be
easily removed by lifting the hook.
Cleaning and care
•
Do
not
immerse
the
equipment in water!
•
After each use, remove cut
hairs from the cutting set using the
cleaning brush.
•
Wipe the equipment only with
a soft or slightly damp cloth.
•
Never
use
solvents
or
scouring agents!
•
The cutting set can be cleaned
with a special hygienic spray.
•
Do not use any other cleaning
agents.
•
For long-lasting good cutting
performance, it is important to oil the
cutting set frequently. Use only
cutting-set oil.
•
Cutting set oil and hygienic
spray are available from your dealer or
our Service Centre.
•
If the cutting performance
deteriorates after long use despite
regular cleaning and oiling, the cutting
set should be replaced.
•
Use the blade guard when the
equipment is not in use.
•
Always store the equipment
with the blade guard in place.
Changing the clipping comb and
clipping blade
1.
Switch off the equipment
using the on/off switch.
2.
Disconnect from the mains.
Undo both screws on the cutting set,
remove the clipping comb and clipping
blade.
•
When assembling, the clipping
comb and clipping blade should be
aligned as follows.

Raise

lever-shortest
cutting
