General Safety Instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the 
appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the 
warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal 
packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass 
on the operating instructions.

•  The appliance is designed exclusively for private use 

and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fi t 
for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors . Keep it away
from sources  of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip
it into any liquid)  and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance
with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it
immediately. 

•  When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance 

and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the 
plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and 
remove the attached accessories.

• Do 

not 

operate the machine without supervision. If you 

should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off 
or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not 
the lead).

•  Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular 

basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.

•  Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always 

contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure 
to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by 
the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualifi ed 
person and with a cable of the same type.

•  Use only original spare parts.
•  Pay careful attention to the following “Special Safety Instruc-

tions“.

Children and Frail Individuals

•  In order to ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all 

packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their 
reach.

Do not allow small children to play with the foil 

as there is a 

danger of suffocation

!

•  In order to protect children or frail individuals from the ha-

zards of electrical equipment, please ensure that this device 
is only used under supervision. This device is not a toy. Do 

not 

allow small children to play with it.

Special Safety Instructions

•  Fill the water tank only with cold water!
•  Never open the lid of the water tank while the coffee is 

percolating. Otherwise this may result in severe burns.

•  The warming plate becomes hot! Danger of burning!

Putting the device into operation

•  Remove all the packaging and transport protections from the 

device. Wipe all the parts with a moist cloth to remove all the 
dust that may have deposited on and in the device during 
transport. Then mount the device again by proceeding in the 
opposite order.

•  Carry out 2 or 3 cycles with cold water only to clean the 

device before brewing the fi rst cup of coffee.

Electrical connection

•  Insert the plug in a duly installed 230

V/50

Hz protective 

contact socket. The details can be found on the appliance’s 
nameplate.

•  Make sure that the appliance is switched off. (The light in 

the on/off switch is off)

.

Operating

•  Pull the lid of the water tank forwards. Fill the machine to the 

level corresponding to the number of cups required with cold 
water.

•  Bend the lower fold of the paper fi lter (size 1x4), place it 

into the fi lter funnel and fi ll it with coffee powder (approx. 1 
teaspoon for 2 cups).

•  Close the water tank lid.
•  Place the pot evenly on the base. Please ensure that the lid 

is on the pot.

•  Switch on the appliance (the LED in the switch lights up).

NOTE:

  The brewing lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.

  Your appliance is provided with a drip stop. By remo-

ving the pot, before the water runs through the fi lter 
completely, it avoids that the coffee drips on the base. 
If there is still water in the tank or fi lter, make sure 
that the pot is placed back under the fi lter to avoid 
overfl owing.

왘

  The brewing process ends automatically when the 

water tank is empty.

왘

  It is not possible to turn the device off by the switch!

왘

  If you would like to interrupt the brewing process, 

remove the plug from the socket.

 CAUTION: 

왘

  The next time you connect the coffee machine to the 

electric socket it is still switched on.

•  When the coffee stops fl owing into the fi lter, you can remove 

the pot.

•  The device switches off automatically. The control lamp in 

the switch goes off.

•  To pour the coffee out of the pot, press the button on the lid.

Aroma selection switch

To select the aroma, change the setting between „strong coffee“ 
( ) and „weak coffee“ ( ) according to taste.

De-scaling

•  De-scaling is necessary when the brewing time increases 

substantially.

•  Use only commercially available citrus acid-based de-scaler. 

Follow the recommended instructions for use.
