If the cooking compar tment is still not clean once the 
cleaning programme has ended, use the t able below to  
help you identify the causes.Then inser t a new cleaning 
car tridge and st ar t the cleaning programme again.

With the dr ying program, you can dr y the cooking 
c o m p a r t m e n t   a f te r   c l e a n i n g   o r   a f te r   s te a m i n g .

Remove  accessories from the cooking 
compar tment. Wipe out the cooking compar tment. 
Thoroughly remove  residues of cleaner. Close the 
a p p l i a n c e   d o o r.

The dr ying programme has ended. Allow the appliance 
to  cool down. Then polish the cooking compar tment and 
the panel with a sof t cloth.

D e s c a l i n g   p r o g r a m m e

Regular descaling keeps the cooking compar tment in 
good condition. The cooking compar tment is descaled, 
r i n s e d   a n d   d r i e d   f u l l y   a u to m a t i c a l l y   w i t h   t h e   d e s c a l i n g  
programme.

Depending on the type of wa ter and your use of the 
appliance, a message on the display reminds you to run 
the descaling programme. If necessar y (e.g. if there are 
traces of limescale in the cooking compar tment), you 
can run the descaling programme more frequently.

The descaling programme t a kes 2 hour s 15 minutes 
from beginning to  end.

programme. These are available from the af te r-sales

C a u t i o n !

Damage to  the cooking compar tment: Use descaling 
car tridges for the descaling programme only. N ever 
place descaling car tridges in the cooking compar tment 
when it is hot or heat them up in the cooking 
compar tment.

Possible cause

Solution

Locking cap on the 
cleaning cartridge

The locking cap has not been 
removed from the cleaning car-
tridge. 

Once the cleaning programme has 
finished, remove the cartridge from 
the appliance. Do not reuse the car-
tridge. Dispose of the cartridge in 
accordance with the local regula-
tions.

Risk of injury!

To prevent the cleaning agent from 
coming into contact with your skin 
or eyes, do not remove the locking 
cap from a spent cartridge.

Wrong cartridge
(descaling cartridge)

Use only genuine brand cleaning 
cartridges for the cleaning pro-
gramme.

Drain filter not inserted

The drain filter must remain 
inserted in the cooking compart-
ment floor while the cleaning pro-
gramme is in progress.

Power cut

Following a power cut that lasts 
longer than 3 minutes, the cleaning 
programme will be ended with a 
short programme.

Stubborn burnt-on food 
residues

Run the cleaning programme again 
to remove stubborn food residues.
