IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Please read these instructions before operating and retain for future reference.
2. DO NOT TOUCH HOT SURFACES, use the handle.

CAUTION: THIS APPLIANCE GENERATES HEAT DURING USE. 
PROPER  PRECAUTIONS  MUST  BE  TAKEN  TO  PREVENT  THE  RISK  OF  SCALDS,
BURNS,  FIRES  OR  OTHER  DAMAGE  TO  PERSONS  OR  PROPERTY  CAUSED  BY
TOUCHING THE EXTERIOR WHILST IN USE OR COOLING.

3. To  protect  against  electrical  hazards,  do  not  immerse  any  part  of  the  appliance  in

water or any other liquid.

4. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is near children.
5. Never leave the appliance unattended   in use.
6. Always unplug from the plug socket when not in use and before cleaning,           
7. Always allow the appliance to cool before  cleaning or storing.
8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after an appliance  mal

functions,  or  if  it  has  been  damaged  In  any  manner.  Return  your  Breville  Kettle  to
the  Breville  Customer  Service  Department  for  examination,  repair  or  adjustment
because special purpose tools are required.

9. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, touch hot sur-

faces or become knotted.

10. Always  store  excess  portion  of  the  power  cord  in  the  storage  compartment  of  the

base unit.

11. Do  not  place  this  appliance  on  or  near  a  hot  gas  or  electric  burner;  in  or  where  it

could touch a heated oven, or microwave oven.

12. Exercise  caution  when  carrying  the  kettle  full  of  boiling  water  and  when  pouring

from  it.

13.  Always place the kettle on a flat surface and away from extreme heat.
14.  Do not use a base unit other than the one supplied.
15.  Do not insert any object into slots or holes of the kettle.
16.  Do not, use the kettle to heat anything other than water.
17.  Do not remove lid during boiling cycle.
18.  Do not fill above 'max' indication.
19.  If this product is filled above the maximum level hot water may be ejected.
20.  Ensure kettle is switched off before   removing from base unit.    
21.  Do not fill kettle when positioned on base.

THIS APPLIANCE IS FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. DO NOT USE THE  APPLI-

ANCE FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN INTENDED USE.

23.  Do not allow kettle to boil dry. Allow to cool, unplug and refill with cold water.
24.  Beware of steam being emitted from spout or lid especially during refilling.
25.  Avoid excessive tilting of the kettle after filling.
26.  Do not operate kettle if water level is below minimum.

BEFORE USING YOUR KETTLE

Remove any packaging material from the kettle.

Before  connecting  to  a  power  source,  make  sure  your  mains  supply  voltage  is  the
same as the one indicated on the bottom label of this appliance.

Fill  the  kettle  to  the  maximum  mark  (without  the  base  unit).  Bring  to  the  boil  and
