General safety instructions

Before commissioning the device please read the instruction manual carefully

Please keep these instructions , the guaranty certificate , the sales receipt and , if possible , 
the carton with the inner packaging !
The device is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use !
Always remove the plug from the socket whenever the device is not in use , when  
attaching accessory parts , cleaning the device or whenever a disturbance occurs . Switch 
off the device beforehand . Pull on the plug , not on the cable .

In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical appliances , never leave them 
unsupervised with the device. Consequently , when selecting the location for your device , 
do so in such a way that children do not have access to the device . Take care to ensure 
that the cable does not hang down .

Test the device and the cable regularly for damage . If there is damage of any kind , the 
device should not be used .

Do not repair the device yourself , but rather consult an authorized expert .

For safety reasons a broken or damaged mains lead may only be replaced by an equivalent 
lead from the manufacturer , our customer service department or a similarly qualified 
person .

Keep the device and the cable away from heat , direct sunlight , moisture , sharp edges and 
suchlike .

 Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it , 
even if this only for a moment .

 Use only original accessories.

 Do not use the device outdoors.

Under no  circumstances must the  device  be  placed  in  water or  other liquid ,  or  come into 
contact with such . Do not use the device with wet or moist hands .
Should the device become moist or wet , remove the mains plug from the socket 
immediately . Do not reach into the water .

Use the device only for the intended purpose .

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced 
physical,sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they 
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person 
responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play 
with the appliance

Special safety instructions for this machine

Use only cold water when filling.

The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks !

 Switch the machine off before removing it from the base .

 Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed .

The base and exterior of the machine must not become wet .

First use of the machine 

Before  using the  machine  for  the  first  time  water  should  be  boiled  in it twice  without any 
additives .
1. Place the machine on a flat surface.

2. Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfill! Use the water level indicator.

3. Place the kettle flush on the base.

4. Electrical connection

Check  whether  the  electrical  voltage  that  you  intend  to  use  is  the  same  as  that  of  the 
machine . Details are to be found on the label on the base.
 Only connect the machine to a properly installed 220-240V ~50/60Hz safety socket.
5. Switch the machine to position “1”. To start heating and indicator will light

6. After boiling the machine switches off automatically and indicator light will go off

Disconnect the machine from the mains electricity supply.

Do not press up the lid when pouring.
